20 Affirmations to say everyday

Affirmations are simple yet powerful sentences that have the ability to change our lives, and no, I’m not exaggerating one bit. By saying affirmations daily (writing them down can help, too), you trick your subconscious into believing that these positive things have already happened.


Our subconscious works much different than our conscious mind; our subconscious cannot tell the difference between the past, present, and the future, while our conscious can. If we think about our past mistakes or the scariness of the unknown that is the future, our subconscious will pick up on that energy, and we will fall into a negative, fear-based rhythm. By changing the way we think, we can alter our future and pave a way to success. Yes, you heard me--we can change the way we think.


Generally, affirmations begin with the words “I am”, but some, as you may notice, are worded differently. They only cover the positive, pushing aside the negative so that we can focus on what we truly want. So, instead of saying, “I am a bad dancer,” you say, “I am an amazing dancer.” Even if you don’t believe it and feel like a fool, say it anyway, and your subconscious will catch on. Think about where you want to be, what you want to do, what makes you happy, etc., and make that your motivation. It takes work, and it feels a bit funny, but by thinking positively about things, you can free your mind and have a higher chance of receiving what you want.

I have chosen three affirmations that suit me best, and I write them down in a journal, then speak them aloud every morning. Doing this has changed my life for the better, and has helped me tremendously. I completely suggest you try this out, 100%, and take note of how your life has progressed since discovering the power of affirmations.
